Getting to Magdeburg
Magdeburg lies in the center of Northern Germany, only a 90 minute drive from Berlin.
When you are coming to Germany, you can take a flight to Berlin Tegel Airport or Berlin Schönefeld Airport. From Schönefeld, get a S-Bahn (local train) to the city center of Berlin, from Tegel take a Bus to the central train stations of Berlin (Hauptbahnhof or Zoologischer Garten are closest from Tegel Airport), at the airport there are many people, who are happy to help you find the right bus or train. From either of the train stations, you can take train RE1 directly to Magdeburg, it takes about 90 minutes to get here and leaves Berlin once an hour.
