Online workshop for international students How to Work in Germany
Are you a student working in Germany? Or maybe you are starting your job search and struggling to navigate all the complexities of the German labour market? To help you better understand the job market regulations we invite you to our seminar How to Work in Germany – Your Rights & Obligations on the German Labour Market.

The workshop will provide practical guidance on the rights and responsibilities of employees and employers, explain different types of employment (part-time job, internship, working student, mini-job etc.), cover important aspects of working contracts, of labour and health protection & regulations of the immigration authority. And of course, you will have the opportunity to ask questions to our experts.
The workshop is available free of charge, in English, and without prior registration. It is addressed to international students at the Otto von Guericke University, the Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences and the Harz University of Applied Science. Join us in December via Teams or in January via Zoom.
Faire Integration is a counseling service in Germany for migrant workers on social and labor law issues. The counseling is carried out by different organizations, is offered free of charge, anonymously, and in various languages.
Beratung migrantischer Arbeitskräfe (BemA) provides information and consultation as well as support for migrant workers regarding the German Labour Market and consists of advisory service centers and outreach teams. The team of BemA is multilingual and can be approached in different languages. The Services of BemA are always confidential and free of charge.

Are you an international student studying at OVGU? Then you now have the chance to complete an internship in a small and medium-sized enterprise (SME)! The "Partners of Tomorrow" program is funded by the Ministry of Economics, Tourism, Agriculture and Forestry of Saxony-Anhalt. This programme has already enabled many international students to gain work experience and positively shape their careers. Here you can also find important impulses for student research projects and final theses. At the same time, you can enrich the intercultural skills of companies and enhance the internationalization of the economy and the labour market in Saxony-Anhalt.
